OK you have registered, received your password and logged in for the first time. What should you do? Well, remember that
you joined Football Center to become an international soccer superstar. For this, you'll need to train your skills and perform
extraordinarily well in matches for your club and national team. But how? This is where betting comes into place. The points
you win from betting on real life soccer matches will be the basis for your success.
Click on the "betting" link in the navigation bar and place your bets (of course, only on games that are still open for betting).
Placed your bets? Good! If there were no bets for you to place, don't worry - during the season new bets are coming up every few days, and you always have a week or more left to place your bets on those games. Oh, talking about seasons - there are 2 Football Center seasons per year, each taking about 5 (real life) months.
So, once you've placed your bets you'll want to make sure you're training the right skill. Have you already read the help on the different
skills and positions? It will help you alot to decide what you want to train. You can find all this documentation on the "help" screen.
Go to the "players" page and select your training skill. It is prefilled with the talent that you chose while registering, so if you want
to keep training your talent skill, you don't have to do anything. Below the skill selection you find a textbox where you can enter
your training intensity. It determines how many percent of the points you win in betting will go to your skill training. The rest goes
to your match performance - but only if you actually play, so if you know you won't play on a given matchday, you can rise your
training intensity. But be careful, because training at high intensities causes high risks of injury!
Now you've made sure that you'll gain points, by placing your bets, and that you will improve your skills, by setting your training. What is the next step? Obviously, to reach your ultimate goal of becoming an international soccer superstar, you need to play for a team. Therefore, you should now go to the "teams" page that will show you a random team if you do not already belong to a team. On this screen, you can also search for other teams in the search box on the right hand side. Another way to look at the teams in the game is the "leagues" page, on which you can find all the (club and national team) leagues. Browse through the leagues and click on a club team that sounds good to you. If the team has space for a new player (the maximum squad size is 18), you will find an "offer to join" button on the right hand side. Just click it and the captain of the team will get a message that you want to join his team! If the captain is a computer player, he will automatically accept your offer the next day; if the captain is a human player, he has several days to decide. If you're getting impatient you may want to write him/her a message! As soon as your offer is accepted, your transfer to the team is announced and will be executed two days later.
